Roe v. Wade Last week, a draft U.S. Supreme Court opinion was leaked suggesting the court is ready to overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case, which legalized abortion. Abortion rights protesters rallied in cities around the United States to fight to ensure that abortion remains a legal option for women across the country. See more here
Fugues in color The exhibition Fugues in Color brings together five painters that push the restricted field of the stretched canvas, extending into space, across floor, wall, and ceiling. As variations on the expansion of colour, the works brought together here engage in close dialogue with the architecture of Frank Gehry. See more here
Shoes you can take apart Nike’s ISPA (Improvise; Scavenge; Protect; Adapt) team has created two new shoes that will perform and consider the circular design principle of “disassembly”. The shoes can be easily taken apart to recycle their contents, one of the more challenging principles to implement in footwear design. See more here
To dye for The exhibition To dye for at the Textielmuseum in Tilburg provides a glimpse of the beauty of colour in textiles. The exhibition shows the challenges that artisans, artists, designers and scientists have faced over the years as well as the creative solutions they have found. Plants used for dyeing can be discovered in the Dye Plant Garden. See more here
